The Ministry of Education, University and Research has put out to tender this Friday the project to expand the CEIP Punta de n’Amer de Sa Coma, in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, for a value of more than 1.8 million euros.

Education invites bids for the expansion of CEIP Punta de n’Amer for more than 1.8 million euros

As reported by the Conselleria this Friday in a press release, this day has been published in the Public Sector Contracting Platform of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function the tender for the expansion project of the CEIP Punta de n ‘Amer de Sa Coma, in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, for a total of 1,850,759 euros, an execution period of 11 months and as one of the works provided for in the 2016-2023 Educational Infrastructure Plan for the entire Balearic Islands.

In this regard, he stressed that it is about responding to those space needs that the center currently has and that once completed, it will benefit the most 295 students in the municipality.

He also explained that the project plans to build a total of seven new multipurpose classrooms and will allow the withdrawal of the five modular classrooms that it currently has.

ACTION OF ALMOST 2 MILLION EUROS – The Ministry of Education

Specifically, the Department of Education, University and Research has detailed that this expansion project involves the construction of a new building on the ground floor and first floor that increases the constructed area of ​​the center by 2,000 square meters (m2).

In addition, he added that in compliance with the regulations applied by the Ministry to the construction of new centers and expansions, the new CEIP Punta de n’Amer building will have an A energy rating, which certifies almost zero energy consumption.

Regarding all the actions that the reform and expansion work of the CEIP Punta de n ‘Amer de sa Coma, in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, provides, the Ministry has detailed that it will undertake, on the one hand, the expansion of the primary education building with a new ground floor and first floor module located at the north end of the interior corridor; on the other, the construction of a total of three multipurpose classrooms, a dining room and catering on the ground floor, and four multipurpose classrooms on the first floor.

Also, he has indicated, a new nucleus of communications will be created with a staircase and an adapted elevator located in the extension; of new nuclei of student toilets, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and adapted bathroom located in the expansion; and a new playground porch between the primary and children’s building, with access from the new module, from the primary playground -zone of the basketball court- and also from the playground.

Lastly, he pointed out that the reform of the affected area of ​​the corridors of the existing building will be undertaken with the demolition of an office on the first floor and the installation of an independent lobby that will connect both buildings; and it will have a roof, accessible through the new staircase where the solar panels and the air conditioning machinery will be located.

However, the Ministry has announced that, once the tender for the expansion works has been published, all interested companies can submit to the tender process.
